Coronation Street fans question Eileen 'house blunder' as more people move in

Coronation Street viewers saw the arrival of Sean Tully’s (Antony Cotton) young son Dylan during the first visit to the cobbles on Friday.

Dylan returned to Weatherfield and quickly moved in with his dad at Eileen Grimshaw’s house.

The youngster’s arrival left eagled-eyed fans of the ITV soap wondering just how many rooms are in that terraced house?

As well as Sean and now Dylan, Todd and Mary also live with Eileen in her humble abode.

Corrie fans have rushed to their keyboards to discuss the questionable living arrangements.

Coronation Street fans questioned the size of Eileen Grimshaw’s house on Friday

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “How can Eileen… Mary… Sean… Todd… and Dylan all fit in that house? Must be a bloody squeeze.”

Another added: “How on EARTH are they fitting two more people into Eileen’s sylvanian family sized house??”

A third person said: “How many bedrooms does Eileen’s house have?”

While a fourth viewer posted:”Eileen’s house is like a Tardis.”

Corrie fans were left scratching their heads as Sean Tully’s son Dylan moved into Eileen Grimshaw’s house

The million dollar question was answered towards the end of the episode as the sleeping arrangements were discussed, with Todd on staying on the sofa and Dylan on the living room floor in a sleeping bag.

It’s not the first time fans have raised questions about the amount of tenants living in Eileen’s house.

In April 2018, Eileen already has young Summer Spelman (Matilda Freeman) living with her and she went on to offer Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp) and Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) a place under her roof.

Sean Tully actor Antony, 45, opened up about his single father storyline on Lorraine on Friday.

Todd moved into Eileen’s when he returned to the cobbles last week

Speaking to temporary host Christine Lampard, he said: “I think it’s a really interesting story in that he is a single father that is going to end up in the full-time care of his son.

“With the military work I do I do speak to a lot of young men who are separated from their parents and they have the difficulties that brings to having access to a child let alone having full time care.”

Despite racing towards two decades on the cobbles, Antony insists he only thought he was going to be on the show for a matter of months when he first bagged the job.

The sop star added via live stream home his home: “I thought I would do three months and that would be it.

“Three months old work for any actor is mega but then three month turned into now – in my 18th year,

“It has flown by… well apart from this year with Covid.”

Coronation Street continues on Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm
