Emmerdale was compared to the horror film Final Destination on Monday night, as the episode ended with both Dan Spencer and Amelia collapsed in pain.
With her dad’s back causing him grief, Amelia (Daisy Campbell) decided to take over the car repairs at the garage, assuring him she could be the lead mechanic.
Unfortunately, a lever that had been used to prop up the bonnet of the car collapsed, falling down on Amelia as she screamed in pain.
When Dan (Liam Fox) witnessed the accident, he hurried to help her, only to fall to the ground with crippling back pain.
Watching the episode from home, certain viewers felt there was a plot hole afoot, as they trying to figure out the technical logic behind the garage scene.
Many felt the bonnet didn’t appear to hit Amelia, even though she leapt back from the vehicle in pain.
On Twitter, one fan wrote: “A. Her right arm was under bonnet B.she was miles from car went bonnet fell. C. Wtf caused a collapse. Absolute garbage once again #Emmerdale.”
“That bonnet has gas struts holding it open, you can see them and wouldn’t have a bonnet stay… b******s,” added a second.
While a third wrote: “The bonnet didn’t even hit Amelia. Why was she social distancing from a car?”

“Don’t really get what happened there the bonnet closed and sent Amelia flying backwards?” wrote a fourth.
On a more serious note, the father-daughter storyline has accurately portrayed the hardships faced by carers in the UK, as Amelia is forced to look after her poorly father while still in school.
Opening up about the pressures faced by the young teen, actor Liam told Metro: “Amelia has taken the bulk of the responsibility while Dan’s getting better.”
He added: “It’s a massive stress for her, as it is for a lot of kids in this situation. It’s a massive concern for her, she’s on the edge.”
Could the accident in the garage have devastating consequences for Amelia?
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with a second helping on Thursdays at 8pm.
