Tipping Point fans were delighted to wish presenter Ben Shephard a happy birthday during Friday’s show, after learning he was another year older.
The episode was pre-recorded, so while Ben didn’t make any reference to his birthday, diehard fans of the show marked the special occasion.
However, certain viewers were surprised to learn his actual age, realising he was turning 46 on December 11.
Taking to Twitter, a number of Tipping Point buffs wished Ben a happy birthday, exclaiming over his age in the meantime.
One said: “Ben is 46 today!”

“Happy birthday youngster!” wrote a third.
“Like a fine wine Ben,” chimed a fourth.
Ben, who is a proud dad to two teenage sons, has been the famous face fronting Tipping Point since 2012.

The ITV star lives in a sprawling London home with his wife Annie and their two boys – sons Jack, 15, and Sam, 13.
On top of fronting the ITV quiz show, Ben is also one of the main anchors on Good Morning Britain, appearing alongside colleagues Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid on the morning news show.
Marking his special day, his co-stars rallied around the studio this morning to take a birthday snap for the dad-of-two.
Showbiz expert Richard Arnold and meteorologist Alex Beresford could be seen in the background, as Ben beamed from his swivel chair.
Sharing the pic to Twitter, Charlotte Hawkins penned: “Gathering together for a group @gmb photo this morning to say Happy Birthday @benshephard!”
Retweeting the snap to his own account, the birthday boy replied: “Thanks for all the messages for my birthday.”
Tipping Point airs on weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
