The Masked Singer returns to TV on Saturday night where a host of new celebrities will sing in disguise – for no apparent prize.
A new line-up of well known stars have filmed episodes of the madcap ITV singing competition in front of judges Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan.
The 2020 series will include contestants dressed as an alien, a badger, a dragon and a grandfather clock with the judges and viewers at home listening to their voices and cryptic clues to figure out who is behind each costume.
But it seems the contestants themselves are doing it for nothing more than fun and some media attention as it is believed none of the contestants get paid to take part.

While the USA version of the show sees a winner gifted with a golden mask trophy, UK entrants get nothing but glory.
A source from the USA version of the show told Bustle: “Each person behind the masks is a celebrity of some kind who presumably has plenty of money and opportunities, so it wouldn’t make sense to give them even more.
“Some other celebrity competitions ask competitors to each choose a charity to compete on behalf of, and donate any winnings to, but that doesn’t appear to be the case here.”
A spokesperson for ITV said “no comment” when asked by Daily Star Online for details on Masked Singer UK salaries.

While UK entrants are believed to be under the same rules.
Nicola Roberts was the first star to win The Masked Singer in the UK – but said it was an empty experience.
Explaining that she couldn’t celebrate due to the episodes being filmed in advance and the cast and crew being sworn to secrecy of the masked singer identities, she told The One Show: “I did it, and then I won – and obviously no one knew.
“And the next day one of the creative ladies asked: “You’ve won! How do you feel?’”
“None of my friends and family know, it’s not like I can be like: ‘Guys I’ve done a great thing, I’m so excited!’”
The Girls Aloud star added following her win back in February: “So, my sort of excitement has been delayed – I’m only now really enjoying it.”
The Masked Singer returns to ITV on Saturday night at 7pm.
