Drag Race chaos as contestant tells RuPaul to 'f*** off' and quits in meltdown

Filming for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK was thrown into chaos when a contestant quit.

The wannabe had a meltdown after being told they had flopped in the challenges and were now
facing elimination.

In dramatic scenes, they refused to do the weekly lip sync battle for survival and even told show boss RuPaul: “F*** off.”

It was the show’s biggest drama ever.

An insider told us: “During filming for one episode, RuPaul announced which contestants were at risk of going home.

“One of them did not take it well at all. They completely lost it. They swore at RuPaul and said they weren’t going to do the lip sync.

“Then they stormed off. No-one could believe what they were seeing. It was incredibly disrespectful.”

Bosses are still deciding whether the shocking moment can be shown.

The contestant later refused to return for a reunion.

Our insider added: “Things ended very badly with this contestant. It is all very bitter indeed. It’s a shame.”

It might be a shame for them, but it sounds like it would make cracking telly for us.

Producers are hoping that the new series will be a national talking point.

They pulled out all the stops to get the show made under the strict coronavirus restrictions. This series will have more contestants and extra episodes to make it even bigger than the first run.

A source said: “Getting this series in the bag was a big challenge. There were so many obstacles. But everyone was determined to get it done.

“Now it is all filmed, there is a lot of excitement. There is so much drama, so it is bound to get people talking.”

RuPaul will be joined by Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton once again.

Guest judges will include Liz Hurley, Dawn French, Sheridan Smith and Maya Jama.

The series will stream on BBC Three from Thursday.
