Holly Willoughby, 39, was clearly excited to get back into the Dancing on Ice studio for the launch of the latest star-studded competition tonight as she absolutely floored with a stunning pink ball gown for the first instalment.
Rocking a beautiful and elegant 1920s curl, Holly was draped in a sparkling pink gown covered head to toe in thousands of dainty feathers.
The show-stopping look also came complete with jewels and a tulle fabric underneath, closely hugging her stunning figure.
Captioning the snap, Holly said: “Well its back… Dancing on Ice on ITV at 6pm… it’s incredible that the brilliant team, crew and celebs have made this happen… it’s not been easy and I feel so proud. Gosh it feels good to put a sequin on!”
Fans were divided on the dress, as one person praised: “Love that Holly was saving something for the show by not showing the whole dress on Insta. Love that! Because I was like ‘wow’ when she appeared.”
“Dancing On Ice welcome back to the show and welcome back Holly wow nice dress,” another said.
While a third cringed: “Dancing On Ice is back, fabulous entertainment and escapism during these dark times. Well done all… except Holly’s awful dress.”
The This Morning star is presenting with her long-time co-host Phillip Schofield once more for the latest edition of the show, which sees the likes of Denise Van Outen and Rebekah Vardy don their skates in an attempt to wow the judging panel.
But while viewers will be eager to see which celebrities are the ones to watch on the ice, they’re also looking forward to seeing which magnificent outfits Holly pulls out of the bag every weekend.
Speaking ahead of the show’s return, the presenter joked it’ll be “like her wedding day” every week thanks to her bold and glamorous selection of gowns.
“The best thing is just getting dressed in a proper frock!” she declared.
“Naturally I get dressed for This Morning and I’m not in my pyjamas all day but this is something special.
“I always look forward to when Dancing on Ice comes around because it’s like getting ready for your wedding day every Sunday. I just love it,” Holly gushed.
The star went on to say the experience of getting dressed up every Sunday is the closest thing she has to a fun evening with the girls.
“It’s fun and with the girls I work with we’re already plotting outfits and looks,” she explained. “And it’s just lovely.
“It’s a nice feeling,” the star added.
The mother-of-three has delivered some truly awe-inspiring outfits on past series.
One which really stood out was her sapphire blue tulle gown, inspired by the character Elsa from Frozen for the show’s Disney themed week.
Another saw the presenter wear a beaded white gown in an incredibly thin and delicate fabric, prompting many viewers to ask if she had decided to wear her underwear on the show.
Last year’s potential favourite was a floor-length shimmering pink dress with a split up the side.
With ruffles scattered across the chest and a make-up and hair combo to die for, the look prompted showers of praise from the star’s fans.
