Alice Evans has branded her husband Ioan Gruffudd a “sh*t” after he filed for divorce.
And the heartbroken actress has likened the pending divorce proceedings to death or suicide.
Yesterday Hollywood actor Gruffudd, one of the stars of the Fantastic Four movie, had lodged official divorce payments with the Los Angeles Superior Court
But according to Alice, his wife of 13 years, she was blindsided and left devastated by the move.
In an emotional post to her 56.8k Instagram followers, Alice made her feelings known to her army of fans.
“I can’t sleep,” she revealed. “Not a wink. I am terrified for what tomorrow will bring.
“Oh don’t worry, I’m fully aware of how pathetic that sounds. I’ll make it worse.
“I’m scared that my little girls will be disappointed by their Dad’s behaviour and model that in their future relations with the opposite sex.
“I did not find out my father was a s*** until I was about 32 years and I’m convinced that that made me the woman I am today.
“After a certain age, they can’t take it away from you! I’m also scared of my ex-husband’s response to the fact that I had commented on his sudden decision to serve me.
“I know he’ll be angry. (he is always angry – he was born angry) But, you see, I think this whole idea of keeping your private lives private is… well.”
Last month Alice claimed her husband had “walked out” on her and their two daughters, Ella, 11 and Elsie, 7, and that he “no longer loves her”.
She also publicly admitted the pair were discussing a “legal separation” but insisted they were “still friends”.
The 49-year-old American-born actress continued: “I couldn’t believe how many people told me to accept it ‘with dignity’.
“What is dignity? I think dignity is a way of covering up our own hurt. I think dignity is a way of others telling us to shut up, because THEY don’t want to think about our hurt.”
Ioan, 47, made his movie breakthrough in 1997 when he landed the role of Harold Lowe in the acclaimed Hollywood blockbuster Titanic, which featured Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet.
More recently the Welshman has starred as the lead in the popular US drama series Forever, which ran of 22 episodes, as well as a calculating killer in the hit ITV series Liar.
But he has had cameos in other big-budget films including Black Hawk Down and King Arthur.
Alice was clearly furious with her husband and in a another post to 28k Twitter followers, she stressed: “Listen I am still sad and I am still heartbroken and I am still doing that awful thing you do when you remember something you’d planned to do together and realize you won’t be doing it together any more.”
Many of Alice’s fans have sympathised with her and one stressed: “But you should be. And that’s what hurts. And the way he is treating you. Another minus. We got your back, Sister.”
Another fan simply warned: “Be careful.”
And one follower added: “You are going through the stages of grief @aliveeveansgruff, you are allowed to feel whatever you want.
“No one has the right to stand in judgement. Your journey is yours. #wegotyourback.”
