Jeremy Clarkson didn’t take long to mock Meghan Markle with the launch of his new Saturday night TV show.
The outspoken presenter couldn’t resist poking fun at The Duchess of Sussex for her explosive Oprah Winfrey interview.
And former Top Gear host Jezza went straight for the jugular as he took a comical swipe and Meg on his It’s Clarkson on TV show.
“Meghan Markle was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey… there was a moment where Meghan Markle seemed – how can I put this politely – break wind,” joked Jeremy.
Fake audience laughter was played in the background to a snippet of Meghan discussing a time after her wedding to Prince Harry and Oprah responding.
“Sorry can we just hear that again because it really does sound like Piers Morgan had a point, her pants really were on fire!” continued Jeremy.
“Now, I’ve had a note here from the legal department at ITV. They want it to be made plain that that was not a fart, I have no idea how they know that.”
Jeremy’s new show aims to “unpick popular TV events and unearth wonderful hidden gems, with an eye for detail and a rogue sense of humour”.
But there was a mixed response to the 60-year-old broadcaster’s gags, especially the canned laughter.
Some fans loved the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire presenter’s comical script, whilst others criticised him and the “appalling” fake laughter.
One even branded the show as an “awful” rip-off of Harry Hill’s TB Burp.
“#ClarksonOnTV. WTF is it with all the terrible canned laughter?”, blasted one incensed fan.
Another angry Twitter follower complained: “@JeremyClarkson although I am indeed laughing at your new it’s Clarkson on TV. With such up to date jokes during covid the canned laughter workmanship is awful sounds like sold out Wembley #ClarksonOnTV.”
A third questioned: “Did @ITV have a surplus canned laughter budget to use up on #clarksonontv.”
“#clarksonontv what’s with the terrible #cannedlaughter it’s spoilt what could be a half-decent program,” another fumed.
Jeremy recently leaped to the defence of his former enemy Piers Morgan after he quit Good Morning Britain over his controversial comments on Meghan.
Piers revealed he received a text from Jeremy offering him support following his shock departure.
And Jeremy has since sarcastically slated Meghan in his recent The Sun column.

“Meghan Markle will have grown up imagining that princesses live in fairy-tale castles and spend all day riding around on golden unicorns, smiling kindly at muddy plebs,” he joked.
“So, it will have come as a bit of a surprise when she became a British royal and found, that on a wet Tuesday morning, she’d have to go to Carlisle on something called ‘a train’, to open the civic centre’s new disabled ramp.
“So, she’s obviously decided that if she can’t dine on peach and peacock and have a couple of mermaids in the gin-filled swimming pool, she won’t be opening any new toilet blocks ever again.”
