Declan Donnelly and wife Ali pictured for the first time since attempted raid

Declan Donnelly, 45, and his wife Ali,43, have been seen in public for the first time since reports revealed their million pound West London home suffered an attempted raid.

The couple were pictured walking their pet pooch on Wednesday – with Ant McPartlin’s co-star smiling at a waiting pap.

Asked how he was following the break in, Dec said: “We’re great, thank you.”

According to reports robbers tried to force entry via the property’s iron gates to gain access to the seven bedroom mansion earlier this week.

The incident is said to have taken place shortly before 1am on Tuesday.

Scotland Yard said in a statement: “Police were called at approximately 12.40am to reports of an attempted burglary at a residential property.

“Officers attended. The suspects had left the scene prior to police arrival. There was no evidence that they had gained access to the property.

“Inquiries are ongoing. At this early stage, there have been no arrests.”

A source told The Sun: “Dec and Ali weren’t disturbed.

“The first they realised anything was amiss was in the morning.”

CCTV from the £5 million home and that of Dec’s neighbours has been taken by the police for further investigation.

On Wednesday morning a repair man were seen working outside the property to fix the damaged gate and amend the locks.

A source added: “The robbers couldn’t force the gates open and that’s what made them give up and flee.”

Earlier this month Ant and Dec wrapped up another successful series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

Due to the pandemic, the show had to be filmed without a live TV audience.

In March and And Dec were hit with a flurry of Ofcom complaints over a comedy sketch on the show.

104 angry viewers hit out after Gordon Ramsay mocked a guest’s teeth.

The outspoken chef appeared during a game of Read My Lips.

As Gordon tried to lip read a woman who was saying “garlic bread” before moaning: “It’s the gap in the teeth, I can’t understand you.”

Despite the backlash the show has been enjoying over 7 million viewers per episode.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is expected to return in 2022 – hopefully with a live audience.
