Friends actor Matthew Perry gave fans a glimpse of the upcoming reunion episode with a behind-the-scenes photo of himself getting ready in hair and makeup.
Matthew who is fairly new to Instagram, quickly deleted the pic soon after, which left fans desperately wanting more.
In the photo, Matthew looked fully focused as he stared intently with his mouth wide open. The star faced the mirror as a make-up artist stood close beside him, with a brush in hand.
The star captioned the post: “Seconds before eating a makeup brush, not to mention reuniting with my Friends.”
The now-deleted upload received thousands of likes from fans who were dying to know more about the production.
To confirm that production is well and truly underway, last month set designer Greg Grande who worked on the original Friends series uploaded a picture of a resurrected Monica Geller’s living room.
Matthew, who plays Chandler Bing in the sitcom, has been a part of the show since it started in 1994. The show came to an end ten years later which left fans desperate for the cast to reunite and pick up where they left off.
Despite this, it has now been confirmed that the new HBO max reunion won’t see any of the cast in character.
Instead, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt Le Blanc and Matthew Perry will be having an unscripted chat.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the high-profile special was delayed even though it was originally advertised as being one of the perks that HBO Max would offer to viewers.
On Friday 3rd, sources told Deadline that HBO Max’s unscripted special would start filming in Los Angeles within the next seven days.
Set designer Greg Grande made fans of the show beside themselves when he uploaded an image of the famous yellow couch in front of a fountain.
However, unlike the usual setup that fans are greeted with in the intro of the show, some extra chairs and a coffee table had been added which highlighted that a sit-down chat would be taking place.
On Graham Norton’s show last week, David Schwimmer, who plays Ross Geller, in Friends hinted that fans may be treated to a brief moment of the stars reviving their much-loved sitcom characters.
Appearing via video link, David said: “I’m going to LA to shoot the Friends Reunion. I will get to see everyone for the first time in years.”
The star continued: “I’ll be David. Nothing is scripted and we are not in character. We are all ourselves, although there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something.”
“I should have genned up on old episodes, but I just haven’t been able to bring myself to catch up on the 236 shows. I guess I need to watch a lot over the next five days!”
