Sliding Doors Actress Gwyneth Paltrow gave fans a cute surprise recently, after she shared a stunning picture of her lookalike daughter Apple celebrating her 17th birthday.
The mother-of-two took to Instagram to post the picture of her eldest enjoying the sun in a mystery holiday location.
Looking away from the camera, the teen appeared care free as she showed off her orange painted nails.
Captioning the photo, proud mum Gwyneth said: “Can it be? 17 today? My sweetest girl… You are my life! You make me belly laugh every day.
“You are brilliant and hardworking. You are fully you which I respect and admire so much. I wish I had had even a spoonful of the self-acceptance you have when I was your age.”
She continued: “You are so inspiring and just so cool. I remember the morning you came into the world so perfectly, I just can’t believe it was 17 years ago. Happy birthday, my angel.”
Fans and some of the actress’ famous pals also wished her daughter Apple a happy birthday too.
Glee star Kevin McHale commented: “Noooo,” along with several crying face emojis.
Kim Kardashian penned: “Happy birthday Apple!!”
“Happy birthday,” Paris Hilton chimed.
While some fans couldn’t help but mention the mother and daughter’s striking resemblance.
In the comment section, one fan wrote: “OMFG. Gwyn she looks more and more like you as she gets older. It’s insane. She’s absolutely beautiful. Happy birthday Apple!! Beautiful caption too.”
Gwyneth only rarely shares photos of her two children on her social media accounts, however, the older Apple gets, the more she appears on her mum’s Instagram page.

The mother and daughter, who could almost pass for sisters, share a close bond and often share one another’s clothes too.
Talking candidly to People blonde bombshell Gwyneth said: “Apple borrows from my closet.
“Although I did take a hoodie from her about two weeks ago.”
She added: “So, fair enough. But she likes my T-shirts and my shoes. She likes my shoes.”
Gwyneth and Coldplay’s Chris Martin were married between 2003 and 2016 and share two children together, Apple and son Moses.
