Weather girl Lucy Verasamy flashes endless legs as she strolls in summer dress

An expert when it comes to all things weather-related, Lucy Verasamy proved she has the ideal summer wardrobe to complement the soaring temperatures in the UK.

On Tuesday, the ITV star stepped out in a chic floral minidress with bell sleeves and a scooped neck, the gown dappled with splashes of pink and white.

Lucy, 40, paired the dress with some classic white trainers and a straw hat, a black ribbon wound around the brim.

In one hand, she carried a bag of shopping, as she could be seen traipsing through a sun-soaked market, checking out the stalls and outdoor cafes.

The song Sunchyme by Dario G, which climbed the charts in 1997, played over the clip she shared to Instagram, as Lucy wrote: “For those asking – it’s a summer anthem.”

Lucy has already enjoyed a healthy dose of Vitamin D this year, having spent the last few weeks travelling through the British countryside for different filming commitments.

Her latest endeavour saw the weather forecaster jaunt to Nottinghamshire to dole out reports with ITV Racing as the sporting season amps up.

Sharing a behind the scenes snap from the production, Lucy told her fans: “A week for sun hats & spf again.

“Strong June sunshine & muggy air if it’s cloudy. Love a hat! This one is by two sisters, Rosie & Alice, I met while working on @itvracing & I’d be a bit lost without it.”

Lucy joined the network’s racing team back in 2016, working alongside the likes of Alice Plunkett, Rishi Persad and Sally-Ann Grassick before the cameras.

When asked how she got into meteorology, Lucy previously revealed she fell into the industry when she landed a job at a weather firm.

Travelling across the country, Lucy collaborated with Marks and Spencer earlier this year for a new ad campaign

“The simplest answer is – I did a week’s work experience at a private weather company that’s now the biggest in Europe,” she told The Sports Edit in 2019.

Her big break came when she bagged a job at Sky, and was eventually poached by rival network ITV, fronting everything from GMB to ITV News.

And, when asked about the perks of the job at ITV, Lucy dished: “Each day is rarely the same working in weather and in a newsroom. It certainly keeps us on our toes.”
