Paul O’Grady made a name for himself as he toured London as drag queen comedian Lily Savage, using the character to speak out for gay rights.
In the early 90s Lily Savage began to become a mainstream success and by 1998 she was the host of Blankety Blank, becoming a household name.
In the years following, Paul would drop the Lily persona and become the host of his own show, going on to present a number of self-titled special documentaries as he explored various topics of discussion.
But While Paul is famous, did you also know his husband is too?
Andre Portasio is a dancer who used to perform for the English national ballet after graduating from the Royal Academy of Ballet.
Andre spent 10 years in the arts, featuring in shows like The Nutcracker, The Rite of Spring and Swan Lake.
Andre’s performances saw him winning medals in 1998 and 1999 at the Genee, an internation ballet competition for young dancers.
Andre and Paul began dating in 2006, just a year after Paul separated from his former wife Teresa Fernandes, whom he had married to save from deportation, The Mirror reported.
Paul and Andre would date for 11 years before finally walking the aisle.
In a secret ceremony to keep away from the public glare in 2017, Paul married his partner Andre Portasio, with guests including big names such as Sir Ian McKellen and Julian Clary.
The 30-minute ceremony was held in the gardens at the luxury Goring Hotel in London.
The pair have remained together ever since and in 2020 it was reported that Paul would be extending his £3 million home in order to create a workspace for Andre, a dance studio.
The Mail Online claimed that planning permission documents detailed the plans for the new workspace, with a gym and dance studio kitted out with state of the art speakers and 8ft tall fitted mirrors along with a whole kitchenette and bathroom.
The plans also outline an additional outbuilding including an entry lobby, workshop and toilet.
