Love Island's Joanna Chimonides admits to breaking show rules on toilet trips

Many viewers of Love Island have wondered just how many cameras there are in the villa, and one of the stars of the show in 2019 has confirmed just how little peace they actually get.

Talking on Kiss Fresh, stunning Joanna Chimonides recalled her time in the villa and admitted to some cheeky bending of the rules.

Host Elz asked if there were cameras in the toilet cubicle itself as well as the bathroom, and Joanna confirmed there definitely were.

She then revealed: “I used to sneak down to the boy’s toilet to do my business and then leg it back out.”

“Then if anyone goes in there and finds it they blame it on the boys!

“We separated the toilets into boys and girls.”

Elz said: “I just think I’d be too scared, like stage fright to go to the toilet.”

Joanne insisted: “Oh no you have to, you’ll be so bloated and you’re in your bikinis all day, you’ve got to do it.”

She spilled the beans about tactics she used

She revealed: “There’s the cameras, you have to keep your microphone on when you go to the toilet. I used to take my microphone off, turn the tap on, and put it next to the running tap.”

“I need some privacy here!” she laughed.

Elz agreed: “Yeah, good idea. All the inside knowledge! Toilet tactics.”

Joanna entered Casa Amor on day 26 of the 2019 series, before entering the villa on day 30.

Eventually, she was dumped on day 42.

Meanwhile, new boy Liam Reardon – who is entering the villa tonight – named Joanna as one of his crushes.

He claimed he tried to slide into her DMs but she didn’t respond.

Awkward.

Love Island continues tonight t 9pm on ITV2.
