X Factor star Jake Quickenden has asked girlfriend Sophie Church for her hand in marriage.
Sharing the gleeful news, he took to Instagram sharing a loved up snap that included the caption: “She said yes.”
Jake, who shares son Leo with Sophie, penned: “The love of my life the mother to my beautiful Leo and Freddie, I love you so much… this isn’t a drill it’s actually happening.”
When thinking about the next phase in their relationship, Jake was open to the idea of popping the question and even hinted that it could happen soon.
Speaking to the Daily Mail a few months back, he said: “We’re not engaged yet.

“I’ll just leave it at that. Very soon. Very soon. I’ll get down on one knee very soon.
“Obviously it’s on the cards. Usually people are married then they have kids but we’ve done it the other way round.”
Praising Sophie for her work ethic along with juggling the complexities of motherhood – having given birth to baby Leo just 11-months ago.

In the same interview, he added:”She works so hard bless her, she’s back at work three days a week and juggling him, she’s definitely a diamond.
“We do the whole baby thing together. We just try and support each other as much as possible.
“I think we’ve got a really strong relationship in that way.”

Last September Jake and Sophie announced that they were expecting their first child together.
The couple also opened up about their heartache having suffered a devastating miscarriage six weeks into Sophie pregnancy the year earlier.
At the time Sophie told Hello!: “Even though I was only six weeks pregnant it really hit me hard.
“With this pregnancy we still carry that worry, so it was nice to have the scan and know that everything is okay.
“We had been trying for a year and a half and I was doing ovulation tests and everything and Jake said: ‘Stop putting pressure on us, it will happen when it’s meant to happen.’
“But when you really want something it’s so hard to not feel disappointed every month.”
