Love Island's Liberty Poole says 'It's a red flag if a lad doesn't compliment you'

Love Island’s Liberty Poole has been a fan favourite since she stepped foot into the villa, but her man Jake Cornish hasn’t been granted the same level of popularity.

Although Jake has asked Liberty to be his girlfriend, many viewers have still questioned why he doesn’t appear to compliment her – and it seems it’s something that Liberty is unsure about.

In a historic tweet written on May 29, 2020, Liberty raised her concerns, writing: “If a lad doesn’t compliment you [red flag emoji].”

During their time in the villa, fans have claimed “red flags” over Jake, particularly after movie night with one user writing: “Jake never gave Liberty a fully heartfelt apology over what he said and that’s a huge red flag.”

Another user wrote: “Liberty finds Jake sexy and fit but he hasn’t said any of that to her and personally for me that’s a big red flag.”

A third person added: “Jake is one big red flag.”

Liberty’s post seems to have been in the back of her mind as she teases concerns about her relationship with Jake in the preview for tonight’s episode.

The blonde beauty was tearful as she told the girls that she was having a “rocky week” and didn’t want to be taken “for granted”.

In the clip, she was seen telling Chloe: “If he is, he’s not the one for me. If he’s taking me for granted he’s not the one for me babe.

“I feel like I’ve just been having a rocky week.”

Viewers were quick to share their concern for Liberty as many questioned what has happened in tonight’s episode to cause her to second think her romance with Jake.

It comes days after movie night which saw Jake admit that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to “rip” Liberty’s clothes off in the first week of their time in the villa.

Liberty spoke to Jake and shared her concerns as to how he saw her, which saw Jake tell her that she’s his girlfriend and that he wants to take her home to his family – however, viewers were unsure that this was enough.

Although Liberty has seemed happy with Jake since the movie night, could their relationship now be on the rocks?
