SAS: Who Dares Wins hit by Saira Khan legal row over 'lifelong scars'

SAS: Who Dares Wins has been rocked by a legal row.

Former Loose Women panellist Saira Khan made a legal complaint against the show after suffering “lifelong” injuries while filming its new celebrity series.

The 51-year-old told the Daily Star Sunday: “I was left with lifelong scars, physical ones. Legally, I can’t go into much detail about it.

“The show were great and supportive, but it has gone beyond that.”

Mum-of-two Saira is struggling to come to terms with her injuries.

She added: “That is very hard to cope with because I am actually a very fit individual.

“To go on to a show and experience what I did was a real shock.

“I look back and part of me is kicking myself, thinking, ‘Why did I do it to prove myself?’.

“Because I’ve now caused myself something that’s for life.”

After discussions, Saira reached an agreement with production company Minnow Films.

A spokeswoman said: “Minnow Films and Saira Khan are happy to have resolved the concern raised.”

And Saira insisted she had no regrets about joining the show, adding: “I’m absolutely happy to have taken part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

“I had a life-changing experience on the show, for the better, and if I was asked to do it again, I 100% would.”

Other reality shows have also faced legal trouble. Gymnast Beth Tweddle, 36, took action against Channel 4 after suffering a serious injury on The Jump.

She fell during training on the winter sports show and was airlifted to hospital, later needing spinal surgery.

Saira’s legal complaint is the latest controversy for SAS: Who Dares Wins.

Earlier this year, star Ant Middleton, 40, was axed by Channel 4 over tweets slamming Black Lives Matter campaigners.

Bosses said “our views and values are not aligned”.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
