EastEnders Whitney star looks totally different on glam night out with lookalike sister

EastEnders star Shona McGarty looked a far-cry from her soap alter-ego Whitney Dean in snaps she shared to her social media page this week.

Shona, 29, looked seriously glamorous as she struck a pose in a darkly lit bar whilst on a night out.

She opted for an asymmetrical green blazer with one long sleeve, leaving one bare shoulder, pairing with matching trousers.

Shona finished the look off with a black furry jacket which hung off one shoulder and added sunglasses to glam it up.

The actress looked a far cry from unlucky-in-love Whitney as she showed off glamorous make-up and curled hair for the night out.

She was seen posing with two friends and her little sister Camilla in a club, sending her fans wild with the rare post on social media.

As she simply captioned the post: “Weekend…” it didn’t take long for her to be inundated with compliments on her latest look.

One posted: “Beautiful photos.”

Another added: “You are stunning.”

A third said: “Looking sensational as always.”

A fourth chipped in: “Love this!! You & Camilla look incredible!!”

Meanwhile, Shona’s singing talents have recently been showcased on EastEnders as Whitney sang Run by Snow Patrol at the Queen Vic.

Terry Cant has taken over as her new manager and gathered a crowd around a nervous Whitney as she performed for them all.

But viewers were left gobsmacked as Whitney flaunted her incredible singing voice during the ballad and rushed to social media to say so.

One asked: “Whitney has such a beautiful voice. Wow!!!!! Is that you Whitney?”

Another agreed: “Fantastic singing tonight on #Eastenders from @ShonaBM what an amazing voice very talented.”

Even former X Factor star Leona Lewis, who famously sang the song on the hit ITV talent show, watched her perform and quickly took to social media to share her praise.

She wrote: “Excuse me while I hyperventilate!!!

“To see someone sing my song (and sooo beautifully) on a show I grew up watching, this means everything to me!!!”

EastEnders continues on BBC One on Monday at 9pm.
