Beyoncé's 'forgotten' family – famous step-sibling, lookalike sister and paternity test

Beyonce is known for her incredible vocal talent and her long-term marriage to legendary rapper Jay-Z.

As the world-famous singer approaches her 40th birthday, her family members have been scrambling for gifts that would impress Queen Bey on her milestone birthday.

And it doesn’t take a super fan to know the the mum-of-three has an equally talented sister Solange who has her only solid fan base worldwide and will no doubt shower her sister in presents for her big day.

But what people may not know is that the superstar actually has two younger siblings following her father’s affairs in 2009.

So, the Daily Star has taken a deep dive into Beyoncé’s secret siblings who to tend to keep their family life out of the media.

Half-brother Nixon Knowles

In February 2010, Beyoncé’s father Matthew Knowles welcomed his son Nixon with Canadian actress Alexsandra Wright following their 18-month relationship while he was still married to his now ex-wife Tina Knowles.

The Knowles family struggled to cope after a paternity test confirmed the 69-year-old was the biological father which led his wife Tina to file a divorce in 2011 after 31 years of marriage.

Now 11-years-old, Nixon is happily living with his mum in Los Angeles but his 50-year-old mother doesn’t have many nice words to say about his famous father.

In 2014, his loving mum told Inside Edition that Matthew had allegedly failed to pay child support and had never met their son.

She told the publication: “I don’t expect Beyoncé to take accountability. It’s not her problem. It’s not her situation.”

According to TMZ, since the Texan-native became a father for the fourth time, he requested that the judge reduce the child support he was obliged to pay for Nixon from $12,000 to $2,500 a month after Beyoncé fired him as her manager.

Wright has claimed that as a result, she has been forced to ask for assistance from the government to support her son as a single parent.

Half-sister Koi Knowles

And it appears 2009 was a busy year for Matthew as he went on to welcome his daughter Koi with professional dancer TaQoya Branscomb just four months after Nixon was born.

Speaking about the incident in 2014, the career-driven mother – who is now an estate agent – told Madam Noire how their relationship started out.

She revealed to the publication how father-of-four “treated me like the love of his live” throughout their relationship.

But their whirlwind romance was short lived after the new dad allegedly ditched her when she became pregnant.

Looking back on her time with Matthew, TaQoya expressed regret for their affair, saying: “Yes, I slept with a married man and it was the wrong thing to do, but I have a beautiful daughter that came out of the situation.”

Now, 11-year-old Koi hopes to follow in her sister’s footsteps as her mother continues to share her daughter’s entertainment ambitions through her own Instagram account online.

Koi bears a striking resemblance to her famous half-sisters, and is clearly a natural in front of the camera after filling her social media page, which boasts over 17,000 followers, with snaps of herself striking a pose.

Step-sister Bianca Lawson

After her dramatic split from her ex-husband, 67-year-old Tina went on to build a strong relationship with her close friend and renowned actor Richard Lawson who she knew for many years prior to her divorce.

And it appears that the former hair and wardrobe stylist wasn’t the only one with adult children, as actress Bianca Lawson was welcomed into the family with open arms.

Though the 42-year-old may not be as famous as her musical step-sisters, the actress is certainly well known for acting abilities and has starred in everything from Save the Last Dance, Dawson’s Creek and Pretty Little Liars.

Known for her youthful appearance, the Hollywood actress has portrayed teenage roles for more than 20 years on the silver screen and is set to continue to blossom in LA.
