Katie Price pulls out of Mighty Hoopla festival hours before gig as horse is dying

Katie Price has been forced to cancel her Mighty Hoopla festival appearance last minute because her horse is dying.

The glamour model was set to take to the Pleasure Palace stage at Brockwell Park in London this weekend.

It would have been the 43-year-old’s first public appearance since she was allegedly assaulted at a house in Essex last month.

Now a source has revealed to The Sun that Katie will no longer be taking part as she fears her horse Wallis is close to death.

The source said: “Katie was keen to get back out there and see her fans but her horse has been taken away for medical treatment.

“She’s had Wallis for 12 years and he is very well-loved in the family. He has been very unwell in recent weeks.

“Katie feels she has to be by his side as she fears he’s dying. She’s absolutely devastated.”

Around 15,000 people are set to be in attendance at the festival, which will see acts including Cheryl, Atomic Kitten and Alexandra Burke take to the stage.

Katie’s official bio on the festival website reads: “Sure to be a Hoopla highlight (we know what’s being planned) HRH will be joining Love Of Huns and Jayde Adams on stage for An Audience with… Katie Price.”

While a quote from Katie on the site read: “I’ll be on stage being me, The Price.”

It wouldn’t be Katie’s first attempt to revive her singing career, as she previously released singles in 2010 and 2017, as well as an album with her Mysterious Girl hitmaker ex Peter Andre.

Katie also vied for a spot at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, strutting her stuff in a skintight pink catsuit while heavily pregnant.

It comes just weeks after Katie was allegedly attacked at her home last Monday, with police and paramedics attending the scene.

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour, and later released on bail.

The mum-of-five was photographed with a bruised face and split lip after she was allegedly punched while watching television.

She claimed she ran to her son Harvey’s home nearby, doing further damage to the feet she broke while on holiday in Turkey back in July 2020.

Katie’s first public appearance since the alleged assault took place was supposed to be at the British LGBT Awards, but her rep confirmed to The Sun she “regrettably” wouldn’t be able to attend “despite her best intentions”.
