Katie Price denies dumping Carl Woods and explains why she wasn't with fiancé at NTAs

Katie Price insists she has not dumped fiancé Carl Woods despite reports to the contrary.

The glamour model turned reality TV star and businesswoman appeared to set the record straight on Instagram in response to reports that she was overheard at this week’s NTAs telling pals she had dumped him.

The mother-of-five, who along with son Harvey was up for an award for their documentary, said she had attended the ceremony with her son because she was “proud” to be with him.

It was later reported that Katie had attended the afterparty where she had been overheard telling pals she had split with Carl.

But in a strong and clear denial, Katie wrote on her Instagram story: “It’s such a shame having such a good night these awful stories about me coming out[sic].

“In fact I never went out and said I’ve dumped Carl, this is not true. I was actually proud to be with my son Harvey.

“I wish people would leave me and Carl alone.”

Her response followed claims that she had called time on her romance with Carl after dating for just over a year and a five-month engagement.

A source told The Sun that Katie was seen drinking wine and asking for vodka, they said: “She was telling people, ‘I’m single, I’ve dumped him’ and was clearly focused on moving on.”

They added: “Katie said she couldn’t handle it any more and wanted out,” after she had reportedly said that the pair had argued “all the time” on their holiday to St Lucia.

Katie had been in attendance at the NTAs with Harvey by her side as they celebrated their nomination for an award after their BBC documentary, Katie Price: Harvey and Me, stood a chance at collecting the gong.

They didn’t take home the prize, with Kate Garraway’s documentary about her husband Derek’s battle with Covid-19 winning the award, but Katie couldn’t help but beam as Kate went up on stage.

Despite not taking home the prize, Katie received a roar of applause when her name was called out, and following the success of the documentary, it seems she’s hoping to release another.

The star explained to The Sun that she was already recording the second documentary, thanking fans for their support as she added: “I’m so happy that people are seeing a real mother and son disability relationship.”
