Ant Middleton slams 'UK cancel culture' as he brands networks ‘hypocritical' in angry rant

Ant Middleton has taken a furious swipe at SAS: Who Dares Wins UK for being “hypocritical and shameful” by cashing in following his controversial exit from the show.

The 41-year-old was axed by Channel 4 over his “personal conduct” earlier this year, but continues to front the Australian version of the gruelling series.

Ant found fault with the show after seeing himself in an advert for the programme and argued that the show is still “willing to make money from my profile”.

He took to Instagram to accuse the show of cashing in and “capitalising on his success”.

“I’ve just seen an advert of SAS UK on 7+ here in Australia! Funny how the UK cancel culture ‘supposedly’ sacked me but they’re still willing to make money from my profile, my brand, my name, my work and my show!” he angrily wrote.

“And now that I’ve opened up a market for myself in Australia they are capitalising on my success!”

Ant went on: “Laughable, hypocritical and shameful but business is business and that’s exactly what it is… just business baby! It’s all about the money,” followed by the hashtags “#fightcancelculture #allnoise #allBS”.

Channel 4 confirmed Ant’s departure from SAS: Who Dares Wins in March with the previous series, which was filmed before his exit, aired still featuring the former soldier

Channel 4 had insisted that they fired Ant only due to his actions “off camera”, stating: “Our decision not to renew Ant Middleton’s contract and not to work with him again was solely based on his personal conduct off camera.”

Meanwhile Ant claimed he left the Channel 4 show before he was given the chop, telling The Sun: “I have decided to walk away from it, it is clear Channel 4 and I have fallen out over it and that is regretful.

“I have butted heads with some of the team but ultimately it is out of a passion for what I wanted to do and that’s make the best show possible.”
