Britney Spears may not return to the stage again and her close friends believe she “doesn’t want to work or perform” anymore.
The 39-year-old is said to be enjoying the throws of love with her new fiancé Sam Asghari after he got down on one knee earlier this month and popped the question to the Hit Me Baby One More Time singer.
And after the chart-topper’s father Jamie Spears was removed from the conservatorship that he has been controlling for the past 13 years, the 90s icon has started to take more control over her personal life and $60 million estate.
Now, sources have told TMZ that the pop princess may never return to the stage again as her work and performing have dropped down her priority list.
The insider shared: “She doesn’t want to work or perform right now, and that’s been her mindset for a long time.”
The source goes on to say others who have toured with the blonde bombshell in the past and have had their hands in the showbiz aspect of her career “feel very strongly [that] she may never perform again.”
The Daily Star has reached out to the singer’s representatives for a comment.
Prior to her change of heart, Britney held a residency at Las Vegas where she performed Britney: Piece of Me which opened in December 2013 and finished in December 2017 after grossing close to $138 million.
But during her court appearance earlier this year, the star claimed she was forced to perform and revealed how she never wanted to do her 2018 European tour which was so demanding that the star only went out twice.
Now, the blonde belle is making the most of her achievements online as she shared a series of snaps of her flying a prop plane for the first time.
She captioned the incredible snaps: “On cloud 8 right now!!!” as she celebrated her huge victory as she progressively breaks down her conservatorship through the courts.
