Westlife's Kian Egan warns I'm A Celeb 2021 hopefuls it's 'tough to break the rules'

Westlife’s Kian Egan has warned I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hopefuls that it’s tough to “break the rules”.

The singer who was crowned King of the Jungle in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! back in 2013 has given new stars who will feature in this year’s show some helpful advice.

Kian beat fashion designer David Emanuel for the crown on the ITV show eight years ago, and at the time said it was “probably one of the best three weeks of my life”.

Emanuel, who designed Princess Diana’s wedding dress, said Kian deserved the top spot.

However, new celebrities are to embark on treacherous trials this winter, and Kian’s advice could make or break their time on the reality series.

Speaking to Daily Star at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, he said: “Bring loads of sweets. It’s hard to break the rules in there…

“I was in Australia so very different but I would say stop eating before you go!

“Eat less a couple of weeks before you go in and stop drinking coffee because I had a headache in there for three days as you are only allowed to drink water.”

Kian’s advice could help push stars an easier transition to castle life for I’m A Celeb 2021.

The show, which will return to eagerly-awaiting fans next month, will feature back at Gwrych Castle in Wales.

It was announced earlier this year ITV will send stars back to the castle over sunny Australia the programme is famous for due to concerns over quarantine and Covid.

ITV has also said contestants will quarantine for two weeks in a nearby location before heading in, to ensure cast and crew are kept safe throughout.

It was confirmed in a statement: “Like last year, our celebrities will do a two-week quarantine with regular testing prior to entering the castle, and will then form a bubble for the duration of their time on the show.”

It comes as fans hope producers aim to make the action-packed series special in comparison to the 20th anniversary.

A new trailer, with funny friends Ant and Dec dropped on Friday, although an exact date the show will air is still a secret.

Watch the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, ITV, 4th November, 8pm.
