Our Yorkshire Farm fans were teary-eyed as they watched Clive give his young daughter Edith some powerful words of advice.
Clive shares his daughters with wife Amanda Owen, and he left fans in awe at his loving fatherly ways during the latest episode of the Channel 5 farming show on Tuesday (November 2).
Edith, Clemmy and Nancy were spending time together in the living room before dad Clive came in with a surprise message for 12-year-old Edith.
The Owen family has welcomed a new puppy onto their farm and young Edith has been given responsibility over the new family pet.
It’s safe to say she was over the moon with the new pub, and sisters Clemmy and Nancy were just as excited, even offering up names for the new dog.
Clive sat with the girls as he spoke to Edith about her new puppy as they all laughed and hugged each other.
When Clive brought the new dog to the farm, the girls sat in the garden admiring the newest addition and began to name her – and out of all their suggestions, they all settled on Sally.
Clive then had some beautiful words of wisdom to share with his daughter as they shared a heart-warming chat about life.
Clive told her: “You never know where you might end up… a famous sheep dog [trainer], who knows?
Edith admitted that although she’s got experience with sheep dogs, she’s not sure what she wants to do with her life just yet.
Clive reassured her: “No well that’s absolutely fine, but whatever you choose to be, it’s lovely to have a puppy, isn’t it?”
He then told her and her sisters that it’s a “lovely thing” to have the “whole world ahead of you”.
Viewers enjoyed seeing dad Clive with the girls and took to Twitter to share about the adorable moment.
One fan tweeted: “Five mins in and I have tears in my eyes already. Every father should talk to his daughters that way, lovely man.”
Another wrote: “That was a lovely, fatherly talk that Clive gave to Edith, joined by Clemmy and Nancy.”
A third commented: “Heart warming as ever.”
“Dad and daughter time. How lovely is Clive”, added another.
During tonight’s episode viewers got to see a lot of Clive and the children spending a lot of time together as he helped 17-year-old Reuben with his new tractor business and kept Nancy busy helping him around the farm as her siblings were in school.
Fans loved seeing more of the star, one tweeted: “I’ve enjoyed this episode – it’s been nice to see Clive with the kids more.”
Our Yorkshire Farm continues next Tuesday at 9pm on Channel 5.
