Good Morning Britain’sSusanna Reid has spotted a potential ‘bad omen’ when it comes to Richard Madeley’s upcoming stint on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! during his quarantine video clip.

Richard is one of the ten contestants confirmed for the hit ITV reality show and will make his debut on Sunday as the programme kick-off.

On Tuesday morning, the panel spoke about their co-star’s upcoming reality show stint and discussed whether he would be any good on the programme.

Susanna Reid and Ed Balls hosted the breakfast show with journalists Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire also making an appearance.

They also showed a brief video where Richard spoke to the camera while in quarantine, saying how boring it was, but he did show off a new pair of walking boots.

Susanna said: “Richard has been kept in quarantine and has sent a little message”.

Producers then played the clip, where Susanna joked that he was practically “interviewing himself” on there.

She also noticed that when Richard was showing off his camp shoes, he put them on the table in front of him.

Susanna added: “I don’t want to say it’s a bad omen but new shoes on the table. Ohhhhh…”

The panel also ripped into him with the Daily Mirror’s Kevin piping up to say that his campmates may struggle with Richard’s presence.

He stated: “No one else is going to get a word in edgeways.

“Even if they stuff his mouth with bits of animals that you don’t really want to eat.”

Susanna laughed and responded by stating that I’m A Celeb wouldn’t be for her, due to the extreme challenges.

The celebs will be heading to Gwrych Castle again for the second year in a row due to Coronavirus restrictions and according to reports Richard is already a favourite to be picked for the first Bushtucker trial.
