Adele left fans in hysterics when she insisted that she ‘isn’t a diva’ as she demanded a new drink live on stage, when she was given the wrong tea.
The singing sensation opened her show, An Audience with Adele, with her hit Hometown Glory to signify her return to the UK.
She then burst out into her fan favourite track Hello, which left the star-studded audience full of emotion.
The Easy On Me singer then started speaking to the seated audience before taking a sip of a drink that was placed on a table beside her, before exclaiming “can I get a hot honey? That’s a camomile!”
She quickly insisted: “I’m not a diva.”
Fans in the audience and at home were in hysterics when Adele had a full-on Mariah Carey moment.
Some viewers at home even took to Twitter, with one writing: “Only @adele can stop a song in the middle of a concert and take a swig of camomile tea & honey to oil her vocal chords – love her #anaudiencewith #adele30.”
Another said: “Adele and the cup of tea, GIIIIRL EVERYTHING.”
While a third penned: “Adele drinking tea whilst performing is the definition of British culture and I couldn’t be more proud.”
And a forth said: “Adele drinking tea on stage what a legend.”
The London-born, LA-based star performed tracks new and old to a star-studded audience that included the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Alan Carr, Idris Elba, and Mel B from the Spice Girls.
During her performance at the West End location, members of the celeb-filled audience quizzed the star, with one of the questions being about her idols.
Adele confessed that Beyoncé wasn’t her idol and noted, “don’t come for me!”
