Stacey Solomon 'sad' and 'exhausted' on maternity leave as she hugs her baby daughter

Stacey Solomon admitted she’s feeling “sad” and “exhausted” as she gave her fans an emotional update about her maternity leave.

The mum-of-four only welcomed baby daughter Rose just over six weeks ago on her 32nd birthday on October 4.

Rose is her second child with her fiancé, former I’m A Celeb star Joe Swash.

The Loose Women star has been taking a break from her usual ITV presenting duties as she looks after baby Rose on maternity leave, but as much as she loves her newborn, Stacey said it hasn’t all been going to plan.

Stacey said she has “no energy”, and was “sad” because she’s been left too shattered to go out and enjoy her maternity leave despite making lots of plans.

Taking to Instagram, Stacey filmed an update for her fans on Friday night (November 19) as she cuddled up with Rose in bed.

She said: “And we’re back in bed again. Shock horror. I am as tired as I look – I look like a small boy.

“I’ve just got no energy. I had so many plans for my maternity leave and can’t wait to get some energy back and do all the stuff I imagined we’d be doing.

“All the Christmas markets…”

Rose then began to cry, so Stacey finished her post off in writing.

She said: “I feel a bit sad that it’s flying by and the days are so short and I’m not doing anything because I’m so tired

“Sounds so silly, I know. I think it’s just because I’m more than halfway through and I’m feeling like I don’t want it to be over.”

Stacey added: “Rose is like, ‘I don’t care where we go as long as those boobs come with us’.”

Announcing the birth of her daughter Rose, Stacey said: “So to my family on here.

“Yesterday I got the best birthday present I could have asked for.

“She’s Here. Born at Pickle Cottage on mummy’s birthday. Our little girl… Happy birthday my darling daughter… We all love you more than you could ever imagine.

“Your brothers, your daddy and I are so in love.

“Thank you for the most incredible 9 months. Now we cannot wait for the rest of our lives with you.”
