Machine Gun Kelly admits he stabbed himself to impress Megan Fox and needed stitches

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly has admitted he stabbed himself trying to impress his girlfriend Megan Fox.

The American rapper, real name Colson Baker, detailed the gory incident on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show explaining that he required stitches after trying to perform a trick in a bid to impress the stunning Transformers actress.

Describing the bizarre incident, the star first recalled damaging his coccyx playing beer pong with Post Malone, and being caught on camera failing to lift comedian Pete Davidson.

Kelly then revealed his attempt to win over his new love interest with a daring bit of knife throwing.

The 31-year-old said he slid down a banister that had a “giant spike” at the bottom of it. By the time he realised it was there, it was too late for him to get off the railing.

“I won the ping pong match. I went home. Travis (Barker) got me this — he got me a knife that had an engraving from the new album on it. And I was like, ‘Oh, check this out. This is sick, and I threw it up, and it came and stuck in my hand,” he said.

“You know how you throw it up, and you’re supposed to catch it. I looked at her and I was like, ‘check this out’.”

Waking up the next morning, Kelly says, he realised: “Yo, I need stitches real quick. I’ve got a bruised coccyx and a knife in my hand.”

Kelly, who wore a shirt with Fox’s face on it from her 2009 flick Jennifer’s Body during his appearance on the talk show, was then asked if he tried to play off his injury in front of the stunning star.

He admitted trying to play it cool, especially because he had just started dating the actress and wanted to impress her.

“I was holding it together. It was just — It was a bad night,” he said.

Despite being known as Machine Gun Kelly since he was 15 years old, the rapper recently announced he is now going by his real name.

He also announced his next album, expected at some point in 2022, called Born With Horns, with a track called Papercuts being the lead single.

Elsewhere, Baker is set to star in western drama The Last Son alongside Sam Worthington.
