Maya, 27, said: “Anyone who knows me, knows that I love glam, glitter and Christmas so I absolutely loved the idea of opening my very own beauty salon.

“It’s been very exciting getting the salon ready from picking the nail colours, talking about my favourite hairstyles to even sweeping the floor before the doors opened.

“It has been a real passion project, so much so that I was a bit nervous when the first customer came in.

“It’s been so fabulous seeing people leave with a big smile on their face, ready to show off their glam during Christmas party season.”

The salon, named Jama & Drys, was opened in partnership with JD Sports and adidas, and celebrates JD Sports’ latest Christmas campaign, King of the Streets which is a “who’s who” of Brits currently shaping youth culture.
