The Chase star Mark Labbett shows off impressive 10 stone weight loss transformation

The Chase’ star Mark Labbett looks amazing in some newly-shared snaps that show the aftermath of his tremendous 10 stone weight loss.

The TV star puts his slimmed-down look, which can seen in pictures by the Mirror, down to a dramatic lifestyle change including frequent exercise and a healthier diet.

The Chase star, known as The Beast, had also recently revealed how he dropped the pounds, telling the panel on Loose Women how he came about his journey.

The 56-year-old star said: “I am gradually dropping Xs off my size. I’ve gone from 5XL to 4XL and it looks like the next time I go shopping I’ll be able to squeeze into XL underpants.

“I’ve lost 10 stone, I was 29 stone when I was a full-time teacher in 2003 and I was in danger of high blood pressure.

“I’ve been around 26 stone up until lockdown, and then a few things happened quite nicely and came together and I started losing weight.”

At Mark’s heaviest in 2003, he weighed around 29st and he was also diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2016, which was the reason for his lifestyle change.

He thanks a kind nurse who first spotted that the star had diabetes and explained to Express.co.uk.: “I’ve got skin that doesn’t heal properly in my lower legs.

“A nurse looked at me and she asked, ‘Are you sure you’re not diabetic?’ They took a test and she said, ‘Yes, you’re diabetic.'”

Despite showing off his impressive weight loss on social media, Mark has revealed that the fat jibes from The Chase host Bradley Walsh haven’t stopped.

Fans have been praising him throughout his weight loss journey as he shares snaps of his slender figure, but he has admitted that despite losing a lot of weight, comments have not stopped from Bradley.

The host often makes jibes at the chasers on the show, with pops often being made about his weight.

Mark said that despite not having the heaviest BMI (Body Mass Index) on the show, Bradley still makes a joke or two about his weight.

He said: “If he had a pop at other people on the show for their weight you know people would say, ‘You can’t say that’.

“He calls me fat and makes jokes about me, but I am.”
