Emmerdale fans were left floored as evil serial killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) managed to escape from the Woolpack explosion unscathed.
She and her sister Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) got caught in the pub explosion during a fiery showdown, as Manpreet discovered her sister was a cold-blooded killer.
But as poor Manpreet was left fighting for her life after the explosion, fans were raging as Meena was revealed to have escaped with only cuts and bruises, despite claiming to Billy that she had miscarried their child.
Viewers also felt they had missed an episode as the Boxing Day show started with the Woolpack fire already put out and the sisters in hospital, with Meena already up and about.

One fan posted: “Have I missed an episode of #emmerdale? Pub blows up – next ep it’s all done and put out?”
Another added: “I feel like they have missed an episode.”
A third chipped in: “Surprised they were already taken to the hospital when the episode started…”
A fourth wrote: “Have I missed an episode?”
Meanwhile, viewers were left horrified as Meena’s plot was exposed at the end of the episode as she spoke to her unconscious sister by her bedside.

Fans were stunned as Meena warned Manpreet’s distraught love interests Rishi Sharma and Charles Anderson that her sister’s prognosis didn’t look good, and if she did survive her injuries, it was likely the bleed on her brain would cause her permanent damage.
After getting rid of them from her bed as they raced to the hospital to check on her, she finally turned on her sister.
Meena told her sister to “do the right thing and slip away peacefully” to save her having to do the deed herself, knowing that Manpreet can’t live while knowing her secret.

With the episode ending on a cliffhanger, it certainly doesn’t look good for defenceless Manpreet, who is set to wake up in forthcoming episodes.
Next week, she will wake up and play dumb in a bid to trick Meena into keeping her alive, which luckily she falls for.
However, after accidentally letting slip something she isn’t supposed to remember, it looks like time might be running out for Manpreet as Meena decides whether she is going to silence her sister for good.
