Stacey Solomon took to Instagram to update her fans on how she was coping with the loss of her family pet and some of her followers made an unexpected discovery while she spoke to the camera.
Stacey’s dog Theo passed away on 27 December and is buried on the grounds of Stacey’s family home.
The 32 year old was visiting her pooch’s grave but some eagle eyed fans thought they had spotted her four legged friend while she was there.
She recently told her followers: “She’s resting under the magnolia tree. I think about her most at night because it’s when she would be excited to jump on my lap for cuddles once the boys were in bed.
“Today I thought about her a lot looking through my old videos trying to find videos of when we moved here, but I know wherever she is, she’s happy and keeping someone’s lap warm.”
She said: “Just sitting down reading your message and one of you wrote to me on my story last night, from when I went to go and see Theo: ‘Wow Stace! Looks like there’s two little feet poking out from behind your arches there. Maybe that’s Theo’s spirit?’
“I’m not laughing because I don’t believe that she’s here, God love her I do, I actually think her spirit is here with us, I’m laughing because it freaked me the hell out because I could see the feet as well!” I thought: ‘What the hell is that?’”
She captioned the video: “I’m not laughing at the spirit of Theo because I genuinely believe she’s here, but it really freaked me out. Turns out…”
She then chuckled to herself and turned the camera to the ground, showing the ‘spirit’: “Turns out, we didn’t pack away this Halloween toy!”
Theo’s ‘spirit’ turned out to be a Halloween decoration of a dog made of bones placed on the ground outside Stacey’s house.
She captioned the second half of the video: “The boys must have gotten the Halloween toys back out. This is 100% not Theo, I blooming wish you were here to keep me company out here and laugh at this with me Fifi.”
