The Chase fans gobsmacked as solicitor admits surprising age after disappointing round

The Chase fans were completely baffled as they tuned in for the latest instalment of the popular ITV game show after one contestant caught their eye.

During Wednesday’s instalment of the hit daytime quiz show, Bradley Walsh welcomed the four latest quizzers ready to take on the chaser in an effort to bring home the cash prize.

The Coronation Street star welcomed Jonny, Karen, Shama and Nathan onto the show as they took on Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha during the repeated episode.

But the group struggled to match the professional quizzers knowledge as fans sympathised with the team throughout the show.

Nathan was the first contestant to take on the chaser but he was soon caught by Paul after he ambitiously opted for the highest offer on the table.

Next to go was Sharma who was caught after a difficult round pf questions, but many viewers were distracted when it was Karen’s turn to take on the Sinnerman.

Originally from Sound-On-Sea, the solicitor astonished fans as she revealed her true age on the show with many guessing she was 10 years younger than she was.

Before she took on The Chaser, the law professional she was 50 years old after she shared her 180 career spin from teaching children to practicing law.

And fans soon took to Twitter to share their surprise online, as one user penned: “Karen looks fab for 50! #TheChase.”

Another questioned: “How old did Karen say she was?” as another viewer revealed she was actually 50 years old.

unfortunately, the law professional was soon caught by the Chaser which left Jonny on his own with a chance to secure some cash from the challenging intellect.

It comes after Bradley Wash was left fuming last week when he was replace as host of the ITV game show.

Taking up Bradder’s usual spot was comedian Joe Pasquale – who couldn’t resist a cheeky dig at the presenter’s poor question-reading skills in a tense opening segment.

Joe kicked off the special episode of the programme by announcing: “Hello, and welcome to The Chase. I’m Bradley Walsh, TV’s luckiest man.

“And once again, I’ll be asking questions I can barely read – let alone understand.”

It was at this point that Bradley could be heard shouting for a “Cut!” as he urged security to enter the studio and reclaim his rightful place.
