Michelle Keegan finally addresses Masked Singer theories as mum quizzes her on stint

Fans of The Masked Singer UK have been left completely convinced that Michelle Keegan is Firework on the popular ITV show.

However, the Brassic actress appeared on The John Bishop Show alongside Bill Bailey and was immediately quizzed on whether she was taking part in the singing contest.

Of course, Michelle wouldn’t be allowed to say whether she was in it if she was truly the person behind the mask, but she did drop a hint that she wouldn’t be appearing on the stage.

She confessed that her mum had sent her a text on the sly to ask if Michelle was actually taking part on the show, leaving the actress utterly bewildered.

Michelle debunked theories that she is on The Masked Singer

Michelle told the host: “I could be bluffing you all here, I don’t want to ruin it, but I cannot sing.

She added: “For me, it’s my worst nightmare.”

However, it’s unlikely fans will be convinced, with in-depth theories popping up online looking into Michelle’s career and the likelihood that she is secretly on the show.

Michelle Keegan has perhaps been the most strongly suggested person behind the mask of Firework – but what are the clues?

The one that really pushed theories in her direction was a ‘900’ clue, with fans remembering that Michelle beat out 900 other people to land the role of Tina in Corrie.

While Michelle keeps incredibly busy and taking time out to do Masked Singer might’ve been a tough job to fit into her schedule, she did confess to John Bishop that she’s already looking for her next big role.

She told the host that she only has three weeks of filming left to do and she’s already started auditioning for her next role – and fans already can’t wait to see her on screen.

Michelle appeared on the show with John Bishop and Bill Bailey

John questioned her on Brassic, which he recognised was different to her previous roles, as he praised it for being funny, but he stated that her first scene was a bit too much to be shown on the show.

The scene, which sees Michelle straddling someone in a raunchy sex scene, was completely different to anything Michelle had done before.

Michelle has taken on multiple roles across her career, including her most popular stints, Coronation Street, Our Girl and Brassic.

The John Bishop Show resumes Saturday at 9:30pm on ITV.
