ITV’s Limitless Win is the latest quiz show to join the TV channel with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly returning as their iconic TV duo.
On Saturday night, a father and son teamed up to take on the chance to win an unlimited amount of money on the brand new ITV show.
With many rules and opportunities on the show, including extra lifelines, losing lifelines, banking the cash and the high risks to lose their funds, the contestants had questions to ask.
However, as the pair made a suggestion to what was coming next, the pair immediately stopped them in their tracks and joked they were trying to take their jobs.
After they banked £30,000, Tony added: “And five lives!”, which saw Ant respond: “We’re getting there, calm down!”
Dec chirped: “We do that bit!”, which prompted Tony to joke: “We’re trying to take your job boys.”
The father and son duo appeared on the show to try and bag some cash for their family and to get a new home.
Although they were off to a rough start and struggled to lock in any cash, after their first thousand their next big banking was sat up at £250,000 – £150,000 more than the target.
When they were asked how they would split the £250,000, the father, Tony, stated he would take £100,000, the son, Zee, would nab £100,000 and the two daughters would get £50,000 split – as they weren’t there taking part in the game.
However, the lads didn’t stop at £250,000 and kept pushing to land the top prize, but it’s still risky business.
The questions are consistently asked relating to numbers, and while they can guess lower than the answer, anything above will drop them from the game entirely.
If a guess does go over, all of the cash is lost – even the £250,000 that they had already banked.
Viewers have been loving the new show, with some fans taking to Twitter to share their enjoyment about the risky game show.
Taking to Twitter, one person said: “OMG! Sweating watching Ant and Dec.”
Another said: “Jumping around in celebration when the contestants banked £250,000. Brilliant Saturday night telly!”
A third wrote: “I’m so stressed watching Limitless Win! I love it!”
Tony and Zee ultimately decided to cash out before losing their money and took home a whopping £250,000.
The show launched this month as a brand new quiz show – and Ant and Dec have joked it could bankrupt ITV with the amount of cash they’re giving away.
Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win returns on Saturday at 8:30pm on ITV.
