22 Kids And Counting viewers fury over mishap as family heads on campervan holiday

Viewers of the Channel 5 show 22 Kids And Counting are ‘not happy’ with the famous Radford family, who consist of Noel and Sue Radford and their 22 children from Lancashire.

The long-running series has aired on Channel 5 since February last year and follows the lives of the unusually large family, navigating love, friendship and learning to help one another.

The latest episode 22 Kids And Counting showed matriarch Sue driving through Scotland as she took the family on a tour of the Scottish Highlands, but many fans were left concerned about the safety of two of the Radford children.

The family had decided to take two camper vans to transport the children, stopping off to swim, camp and ride horses but some observant viewers noticed that the children weren’t wearing seat belts during their tour.

Viewers couldn’t believe that the kids weren’t strapped in

Disappointed fans tweeted out about what they had seen.

One fan said: “I’m assuming the velocity of a child is different in a camper van than it is in a car?”

Another wrote: “Usually impressed with how they cope, but not happy with them driving while the kids aren’t buckled in.”

Fans of the show couldn’t understand how this had been overlooked

Despite their mistake, the Radford family were excited to announce the new series of their show and released a statement on January 4: “We’re so excited to announce that the new series of 22 Kids & Counting starts tomorrow.”

“We had so much fun filming this series and we can’t wait to watch all 10 episodes back with you guys!”

“There are loads of exciting moments to come that we kept separate from our vlog content – including Bonnie and Heidie’s double christening, a big family barbecue on the beach and the bulldogs entering a sausage catching contest.”

The Radford family have a YouTube channel where they post regular updates on family life, including teasers for the new show and recipe videos.

One recent vlog saw their son Luke come out as bisexual. He said he has been struggling with his sexuality for 6 years and he realised when he was ‘around fourteen’.

He said that he knew from that age but never found the right time to come out and say it. Despite his nerves, the supportive family have accepted him for who he is.
