Hollyoaks biggest body transformations – health battle, toned abs and 3st weight loss

Lots of our favourite soap stars from Hollyoaks have showed off dramatic weight loss transformations throughout the decades.

From current stars of the show, to fan favourite actors who have since left, many of the Hollyoaks cast have wowed fans with their before and after photos on social media.

Not only this, but they have also given fans an insight into how they transformed their bodies – from personal training, to high protein diets and regular exercise.

Daily Star takes a look at some of Hollyoaks most incredible body transformations throughout the years, including dropping dress sizes and three stone weight losses.

Davinia Taylor

Davinia Taylor dropped four dress sizes

Former Hollyoaks star Davinia Taylor, who played Jude Cunningham in the soap, wowed fans after dropping four dresses in 2020.

The star went from a size 16 to a size 8, and showed off her slim new figure on social media in a black bikini, side by side with a before photo of her in a cream vest and shorts.

She captioned the photo: “Think I’m pushing a size 16 there and then I’m down to an 8 and maintained it for years.

Davinia had previously credited tips such as having cold showers and eating organic meat as the secrets behind her keeping lean, telling fans on social media: “Watch your habits and cultivate your own roadmap to feeling so much better…

“I hated being inflamed full of water no energy and self esteem on the floor. #weightlossjourney.”

Sophie Austin

Sophie Austin lost 3st stone after taking up personal training sessions

Sophie Austin showed off a phenomenal weight loss transformation after dropping three stone following the birth of her daughter Willow.

After feeling self-conscious following her daughters birth, she and partner Shayne Ward began exercising with a personal trainer to get into shape.

Reflecting on her weight loss journey with Ultimate Performance, she said: “I think I saw a picture of myself – I was all dressed up and I just looked really lost. I just looked like I just had no confidence in myself.”

However, her weight loss journey came with some obstacles, as the star also battled sepsis and a gall bladder removal during the months that followed, saying: “So I had my gallbladder removed. After that, I was out of the hospital, but I contracted sepsis.

“It was scary because I lost a lot more muscle when I left the hospital and I was in the middle of my training and obviously with the hard work I’d put in and I was like, ‘Oh, this is all over.’”

However it was not over and after the star recovered, she continued to train and lost over 19kg in weight throughout the process.

She said: “That means a lot to me because it means that my confidence is back and it means I’ve got my sparkle back.

“I’ve got myself back and I’ve got a bit more, and I’m forever grateful for that.”

Jazmine Franks

Jazmine Franks lost 8kg in just six months

Esther Bloom actress Jazmine Franks shared a dramatic weight loss transformation on social media after losing 8kg in just six months by following a diet and fitness plan.

The star showed off her toned body in black fitness clothing, next to a before photo of her, saying: “There’s 6 months and a 8kg difference between these pictures so it’s been a very slow process but I wanted to make sure I still had a social life.

“I still enjoy desserts and I still enjoy a gin.”

She has since shared stunning bikini pictures and photographs of her working out in the gym, as well as sharing some of her secrets behind her weight loss.

She told the Manchester Evening News that she now prepares her own meals, which is something she did not do previously, saying: “I ate what I wanted and was kind of blasé about what I put into my body. Now I feel so much happier and more positive.

“When I was working at Hollyoaks there were biscuits on the set and I was eating in the canteen where they had pie and chips. I prepare all my own meals now.”

Gemma Atkinson

Gemma Atkinson lost over 3 stone by following a diet and exercise plan

Hollyoaks and Strictly Come Dancing star Gemma Atkinson followed a strict diet plan to help her get into shape and lose over 3st, in a stunning body transformation.

She shared some secrets behind her weight loss with Ultimate Performance, saying that she ate high protein meals and would fill up on ‘good fats’ in her meal like vegetables.

Her weight loss journey continued after the birth of her daughter Gemma, which included exercising regularly to keep the weight off.

Talking about her weight loss journey in a before and after Instagram post, she said: “Before and after I started strength training. Same happy me 10 years apart!

“I’ve always been happy in my own skin even though my shape has clearly changed in these pictures, I was happy in both.

“Obviously the physical difference is clear to see, I got me some biceps…But the main different, the most important difference between them, you can’t see.”
