TV presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have been entertaining the nation with their wholesome personalities on primetime shows This Morning and Dancing on Ice.

Engaging viewers on both shows, the stars are known to have an undeniable bond on and off the screen.

But although their friendship remains strong, Holly, 41 and Phil, 59, have often had to fight off claims that their relationship off-screen is not what it seems.

In 2019, the rumour mill went into overdrive when reports claimed that the TV veterans had an ongoing feud.

To make matters worse, fans have also noticed friction between the pair on-screen.

With the hosts ready to grace our screens once again on Dancing on Ice, Daily Star has taken a look at Holly Phil’s frostiest moments.

Although they’ve been presenting with each other for over 10 years, Holly and Phil’s friendship was called into question when reports claimed they had an argument off air.

The couple’s alleged feud took place after they appeared on the cover of The Sunday Times magazine in April 2019.

Standing cheek-to-cheek, the couple looked happy in the snap, however, the magazine appeared to airbrush an image of a crown on Holly’s head which didn’t sit well with Phil.

According to reports at the time, Phil was left annoyed by the image on the article.

Talking to The Sun a source claimed: “They did [the interview] on the understanding they would be given equal billing and the interview would be about their success and popularity as a duo.

“But when the magazine dropped, Phillip was fuming that Holly had a crayon crown airbrushed on to her head while he was crown-less and pictured grumpily looking on in her shadow.

“The article itself was brilliant and the cover was a bit of irreverent fun. But Phillip was pretty peeved, to say the least

During a recent episode of Dancing on Ice, fans noticed friction between the stars when they experienced a technical blunder live on air.

While Phil chatted away to the contestants who had taken part in the show, he seemed to hand over to Holly a bit too early which lead to a rather tense response.

Phil said: “Over to Holly.”

Looking awkward, Holly whispered in response: “No!”

Though the presenters tried to gloss over the error, fans at home were quick to point it out.

Jumping onto Twitter, one viewer penned: “Phil will be raging that Holly said no to him. She’ll get sacked.”

Meanwhile another said: “Feels like tension between Holly and Phil on Dancing on Ice. Their former chemistry appears to be missing [in my opinion].”

Last year, fans noticed the tension with the pair when Phil told Holly to “shut your face” live on This Morning.

As the pair got stuck into eating scones, Phil appeared to make a snappy remark to his co-host.

Appearing confused by the way he cur into the scone, Holly said: “What are you doing? Why…”

Phil replied: “Shut your face. You’re giving me a hard time for cutting this and…”

Holly laughed and subsequently replied: “It’s fine. Tuck in.”

As rumours continued to circulate on the pair’s connection, In 2020, Phil decided to address the claims on Chris Evans’ How to Wow podcast.

Talking openly, Phil said there has never been a feud between them and claimed it was all lies.

The TV star said: “There was nothing that was being said that had any truth in it whatsoever. There was no and there has never been a feud with Holly.

Referring to Phil’s previous hidden sexuality, Phil said: “When they’re writing ‘Phillip and Holly and feud’ we couldn’t have been closer because I’d told her my secret and she was holding me together at work.”
