The Apprentice denies cutting 'bullying' scenes after contestant's 'rant upset co-stars'

BBC bosses has been forced to deny that they edited out scenes of bullying on The Apprentice after it was claimed ‘explosive’ rants by one contestant left others visibly upset.

The corporation has been been quick to quell accusations after The Sun reported a source as saying producers made a “deliberate” choice not to show scenes where Aaron Willis berated fellow members of the cast.

The insider alleged that the ex-RAF flight operations instructor left Kathryn Burn “upset” after a heated discussion in the latest episode of the prime time reality TV show.

They also claimed that left 27-year-old Navid Sole and 38-year-old Harry Mahmood were “taken aback” by Aaron’s reaction when the boys team were beaten by the girls in the first week.

The Apprentice has denied the claims

A source told the newspaper: “Things often get heated but some scenes Aaron was in were explosive. He has a military background and doesn’t pull many punches.

“Some candidates felt bullied. Three were visibly upset.”

Responding to the claims, he said: “These accusations have no foundation and I find it disappointing that someone would decide to make these claims now, and in such a public way.

“Conversations can get heated during the process, but at no point was my conduct not compliant with the clear guidelines put in place by the producers.”

A spokesman for the BBC show said: “The welfare of all our candidates is of paramount importance and we have robust duty of care protocols in place to support them. It is categorically untrue that scenes were edited out in order to cover up claims of bullying.”

Aaron was sent home in bizarre episode of the show on Thursday after his baby food product was found to lack flavour by judges — an issue which was also picked up by the food stores.

Akeem Bundu-Kamara was also sent home just before the semi-final after the logo of his brand First Time Foodies appeared to inadvertently highlight the word ‘dies’.
