The Chase fans praised The Chaser Paul Sinha after he made up a “new rule” for contestants who take the low offer on the hit ITV quiz show.
Paul went head-to-head with contestants Colin, Steve, Debbie and Claire on Wednesday night’s episode.
He was not impressed with Debbie after she took £2,000 off the team’s total jackpot after opting for the low offer.
The artist from Kent cheered wildly after making it through to the final chase.
A frustrated Paul tried to put a dampener on her decision by telling her about a made up rule.
He told her contestants who took the low offer would now only get what they put in to the jackpot.
He told Debbie: “I don’t know what you are cheering about.”

Debbie fired back: “I’m through, I got more questions right than you.”
Paul then quipped: “I don’t what you’re so happy about…they’ve brought in new rules. If you get back you’ll owe us two grand, sorry about that.”
Bradley tried to ease tensions, saying: “It doesn’t matter, I have got three players in the final.”
Fans of the show rushed to Twitter to praise Paul for his decision and suggested he should actually bring in the new rule.
One said: “Who tf cheers when you win the minus offer? #TheChase.”
Another wrote: “#thechase. Good man Chaser Paul. You only get out what you put in… New rules!”

Paul has been a Chaser since 2011, and is the fourth quizmaster to join the show and is known as “The Sinnerman” by contestants.
He also fronts Saturday night game show Paul Sinha’s TV Showdown, which features a variety of celebrities from the world of showbiz.
