TV Entertainment editor Richard Arnold has addressed the rumours on his co-star Ranvir Singh’s potential departure from Good Morning Britain.
Last month, it was reported that she would be stepping down from her role as the ITV show’s political correspondent.
Richard has since opened up about his GMB colleague and explained how the presenters are all “very close” during an interview with express.co.uk.
Richard, 52, also shared that he feels “lucky to still be waking the nation up every morning”.
When asked about whether his colleague Ranvir, 44, is planning to leave Good Morning Britain following an exit from her political correspondent role, he was certain she wouldn’t.

He replied: “No. Absolutely not – no.”
The question was prompted after reports claimed that Ranvir had decided to permanently quit the role that saw her often broadcasting from Downing Street.
An inside source told The Sun: “She quietly stepped down as the political editor of the show in anticipation of having a more substantial part to play.
“Ranvir covers for Susanna Reid when she is away and this week has stepped into her shoes during half term.”

The insider continued: “Ranvir is a real talent and as well as her work on GMB, Loose Women and Lorraine, when she steps in to cover, she also has a new ITV game show launching this year called Ridiculous.
“However, to keep her, the job – and pay – will have to be right.”
Nowadays, the presenter is also seen in the main TV studio of the breakfast show, starring as one of the main presenters on a frequent basis.
This comes after Ranvir’s colleague Susanna Reid sent her followers into a frenzy after showing off her sleek new hairstyle.

Susanna, 51, smiled at the camera in a black and red patterned top, however, it was her new hair that caught fans’ attention.
The ITV presenter unveiled a major hair transformation flaunting a much lighter and shorter style, which she appeared to love.
Susanna’s comment section was swarmed with compliments from her friends and fans, with ITV’s Lorraine Kelly saying: “Beautiful.”
Channel 4 host Steph McGovern wrote: “Ooooh I love that cut.”
One fan added: “Wowsers. Beautiful lady.”
Another typed: “You look amazing.”
