ITV viewers fume as questions are 'too small' to read on Lee Mack's The 1% Club

ITV viewers were left fairly disappointed on Saturday night as they were unable to see the questions on the screen while watching The 1% Club.

The brand new game show hosted by comedian Lee Mack seemed to captivate TV watchers as they tried to get to grips with the new format of the show on April 9.

But as many attempted to play along at home, they were left feeling upset as they were unable to see the questions on the screen due to the font size being “too small”.

Heading straight to Twitter, viewers aired their frustrations regarding the programme’s format.

One person said: “The1PercentClub is annoying me already. The questions and pictures are too small to read.”

Fans couldn’t see the font on screen

Another angry viewer shared: “Can’t even see the options, why minimise them, put them on full screen so people can read them!”

A third penned: “My mum is literally having to stand by the TV to see the questions on #The1PercentClub. Amazing scenes.”

While a fourth added: “Stop shrinking the bleedin’ questions! We don’t all have 20/20 vision & a massive f*****g telly.”

Daily Star has contacted ITV for comment.

But despite the complaints, many fans seemed to enjoy the new show once they understood the premise of how it all worked.

Fans who watched the programme from the comfort of their living rooms were also keen to see how well they would do and begged ITV to introduce an app.

Taking to Twitter, spectators shared their thoughts on this aspect too.

One person said: “Where’s the app for the viewers ITV? Missed a trick so far.”

Another echoed: “Enjoying #The1PercentClub ITV would like an app to play along would be good.”

And a third said: “This needs to be an app to play along at home!! I’ll wait for my check to arrive.”

Explaining how the new show works, ITV explained: “In The 1% Club, 100 contestants begin every show – but to make it to the end and win the top prize of up to £100,000, contestants must correctly answer a question only 1% of the country would get right.

“Each contestant starts with £1,000 and one free pass, but if they answer incorrectly, they are out and their grand goes into the prize pot.”

On Saturday night’s show, contestant Tamzin Brown managed to beat off her competitors to win a staggering £96,000.
