Spice Girls alumni Mel B and Emma Bunton have reunited to compete in the new season of The Circle US this summer.
The pop sensations, otherwise known as Scary and Baby Spice, have joined the rest of the star-studded cast in the fourth edition of the Netflix reality series this summer.
The premise of the TV show is that all contestants will interact entirely through a special online app rather than face-to-face or via video link.
Because of this, contestants can never be completely sure who they are talking to behind the screen after a slew of celebs and former guests created a fake profile in the show.
And it appears as though the 90s singers are no different, as they explained they have decided to compete under the joint pseudonym ‘Jared’.
But instead of competing for the chance to win $100,000 (£79,790) jackpot for themselves, the Wannabe stars hope to fool their competitors with the aim to increase the prize fund by $50,000, making the grand total of $150,000 (£119,691).
The news was announced in a promotional video on Wednesday (May 4), as the excited bandmates revealed they would be taking part in social media game.
In the clip, Bunton excited said: “We are coming into The Circle to spice things up a bit, don’t you think?”
The duo later gushed over the reality show as they confessed, they were huge fans of the series, saying: “You’re obsessed, I’m obsessed, so when they asked us it was a no brainer!”
As they attempt to catfish their competitors, the brunette beauty, 46, warned viewers that they would see the pair “in a different light” as they move in together.
And the blonde bombshell, also 46, has already shown which singer is wearing the trousers in their relationship as she immediately put the mum-of-three in charge of cooking during their stay.
Mel captioned the announcement post: “YIPEEEEEE! The secret is out! We are sooooooo excited to confirm we are going to be on this season of @thecirclenetflix.
“We’re going in as a catfish to spice things up. BOOM!”
And fans soon flooded to the comments section to share their excitement for the upcoming series online.
One user penned: “YAyyyyy!!! The circle better be careful cos girl power’s coming atcha @spicegirls @officialmelb @emmaleebunton.”
Another added: “Yay!! [three heart emojis] and a big congratulations @officialmelb on your MBE [medal emoji].”
A third gushed: “YES OMG TWO OF MY FAVOURITE SPICE QUEENS LETS GOOOOO [three heart eyes emojis and three fire emojis].”
