Britain’s Got Talent judges and audience members were left terrified as a member of crew appeared to be caught on fire.
Viewers watching from the audience was left with jaws wide open as they questioned whether the situation was “real”.
The member of staff was engulfed in flames and needed to follow the stop, drop and roll procedure.
As he began to frantically roll about on stage, aid ran to his rescue with a fire extinguisher.
The team flapped around ensuring that all of the flames were out.
Simon Cowell even appeared to be shellshocked as he placed his hands over his face.
Judge Amanda Holden was left flabbergasted as she screamed with fear while her co-star Alesha Dixon asked: “What happened?”
Fans in the audience were just as confused as they turned to each other questioning: “Was that real?”
Daily Star has contacted ITV for comment.
It’s unknown if the scenario was part of the act or not as it was never disclosed during the quick segment.
Meanwhile, on Saturday’s programme Alesha became the final judge to hit the Golden Buzzer.
A rapper and pianist who were introduced during the Covid-19 lockdown period on Instagram, met for the first time in person for their BGT audition.
Th act who go by the name of Flintz & T4ylor blew all four judges away with their heartfelt performance.
Through the song lyrics, the mighty twosome told a story about life growing up at school and hanging with the wrong crowd.
Alesha who had tears in her eye’s after their performance, said: “And they say in life, save the best till last,” as she lunged from her seat to press the Golden Buzzer – meaning the pair zip straight through to the final.
Britain’s Got Talent airs on Saturday evenings on ITV from 8pm.
