Max George has revealed he ‘still texts’ his late friend Tom Parker following his tragic cancer death.
Tom passed away in March following a terminal brain tumour diagnosis.
Appearing on This Morning on Tuesday (May 31), Tom’s The Wanted bandmate Max spoke to presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary about his struggle to come to terms with Tom’s passing
Describing Tom’s death as “surreal”, Max added: “I still think I’m trying to process [his death].
“I still text him actually.
“If I get pictures of stuff that fans have made with him in it, or they send a nice message to do with Tom, I’ll WhatsApp it to him still.
“I think I just find a bit of comfort in that.
“The worst bit is when I do it accidentally. Sometimes you just go to text and then you [remember he’s dead].”
Max appeared on the This Morning sofa to help promote Tom’s forthcoming memoir.
Before his death, the late star had been working on the book, which he titled Hope and completed before his tragic passing.
Tom passed away earlier this year soon after the completion of The Wanted’s reunion tour, having previously been diagnosed with an inoperable stage four glioblastoma.
The late singer passed away at the age of 33 in a hospice with his bandmates by his side.
He is survived by his wife Kelsey and their two young children.
Max’s appearance on This Morning follows him participating in The Games earlier this month.
The musician competitor in a number of sporting events on the programme but failed to make a big impact during the competition.
Later on the show, presenter Emma Willis appeared and hit out at plans for a Big Brother reboot.
