Former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh is set to take her talents to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom, reports have suggested.
The 46-year-old actress is reportedly in talks with BBC bosses to join this year’s series of the hit BBC One dancing show.
It apparently comes after years of “hopeful” Strictly bosses trying to get Kym to appear on the show.

According to The Sun, BBC sources revealed she has received an offer and is currently considering her options.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “This is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Strictly. They are thrilled to have brought a footballing legend of Tony’s stature to the table.
“And they are pulling out all the stops to sign Kym as well. She has been a target for them for years, and while it is not a done deal, they are very hopeful.
“She has her offer and is considering her options.”
Kym is certainly no stranger to performing hits on stage as she shot to fame in the band Hear’Say in 2001, before bagging two top ten UK singles and a top 10 album as a solo artist.
She is already a regular face on BBC broadcasts as she co-hosts the daytime chat show Morning Live with her Welsh co-host Gethin Jones, who has hosted Strictly’s spin-off show, It Takes Two.
Kym’s fellow Corrie star Katie McGlynn appeared on Strictly last year, but it was EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis who nabbed the Glitterball Trophy.
That’s not all, because England football legend Tony Adams is reportedly in “advanced talks” to join the show, according to the outlet.
The 55-year-old former Arsenal captain has already demonstrated some of his dance moves in a viral clip from a 2017 training session with the Granada football team.
A source said: “Tony is really excited about Strictly. He’s a better mover than people think. He really looks after himself, far more than most 50-somethings.

“So he might well spring a few surprises.
“His future dance partners might want to be a bit wary when it comes to lifts though — he does have a bit of form for letting go when it counts.”
The footballer famously dropped his Arsenal team-mate Steve Morrow as they celebrated the winning goal in the 1993 League Cup final.
It resulted in poor Steve breaking his arm, so Tony’s future Strictly partners might want to be careful.
