The sister of Love Island star Luca Bish has announced she’s taking a break from social media following a torrent of abusive messages on social media.
The worried sibling also admitted her family felt “broken” by the onslaught of vile messages wishing death upon her brother and his loved ones.
Luca’s sister Claudia has been handling her brother’s social accounts whilst he’s been in the villa, but the family have been flooded with vile messages from angry trolls.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Claudia revealed she had originally planned to do a fun Q&A session with Luca’s fans but could no longer do so as she was overwhelmed by the barrage of hateful messages.
She told her fans she needed to take time away from social media so she could have a “breather” as she wasn’t “coping very well”.
The sibling shared a screenshot of an extremely nasty and threatening message with an update for Luca’s followers.
She wrote: “I really wanted to do a fun Q&A today, but I’m going to have to take a little breather from it all as I’m not coping very well with seeing stuff like this.”
The message added: “Thank you for the continued support for the ones showing love, you are all angels, but understandable I’ll be logging off from managing the account for a little bit.”
Later on, a fan asked: “How are you and your family? Like, genuinely, how you all doing with everything recently? X”
Claudia replied: “First of all, thank you for the tons of people that asked this. if I’m being honest, not remotely okay. It’s really, really hard.
“How would you feel if you were having people constantly praying for death over the people you love more than anything in the world? We feel broken.”
She went on: “I’m not stupid, I understand that people will always have their opinions and nobody can take that away from them, but if you saw HALF of the messages we have received then I’m sure anyone would feel disgusted.”
Claudia shared a snap of one death threat she had received from a user on social media.
It comes after Luca’s sister admitted she’d been physically sick from crying due to the death threats and abusive comments.
Luca has sparked a furious backlash from viewers following his feuds with Gemma Owen during the explosive Movie Night episode on Sunday and Monday night (July 18).
He raged at Gemma and accused her of flirting with Billy Brown, but she insisted she’d done nothing wrong.
Many viewers proceeded to slam his reaction online and even Luca’s family admitted they didn’t condone his behaviour.
But the family also urged followers: “Please please please stop messaging abuse. Luca can’t even see it… the people that love him the most can.”
The post came just an hour after the Love Island contestants’ families and friends pledged to ‘stand together against the hate’ in a joint statement defending the stars from online abuse.
