Love Island's Molly-Mae likens herself to Tasha as she weighs in on bullying row

Former Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has finally broken her silence on this season of the dating show, giving her comments on the current bullying saga between Tasha Ghouri, Luca Bish and Dami Hope.

Molly-Mae, who has been silent about the show up until this point, took to her YouTube vlog to share how she relates with dancer Tasha.

Dami and Luca labelled Tasha as “fake” and claimed she was “using” partner Andrew Le Page to get a spot in the final.

The comments and bullying claims added to the string of Ofcom complaints, with the ITV2 hit show racking up over 3,000 Ofcom complaints.

Although the boys apologised for the comments made during the infamous Movie Night and Snog Marry Pie challenge, fans believe they were urged to by producers following the high-complaint rate.

Speaking in her vlog with her long-term boyfriend from the show Tommy Fury, Molly-Mae said: “That was literally me guys. That was literally me.”

“I feel sorry for her because obviously, we don’t know, I guess we’ll see when her and Andrew come out but you can’t accuse someone of being fake,” she continued.

“I was basically ‘the Tasha’, everyone accusing me of being fake, everyone was saying I was with Tommy to get to the final and here we are three years on. So maybe Tasha will prove the boys in the villa wrong,” she concluded.

Molly-Mae believes it’s unfair to call Tasha “fake”

Molly-Mae appeared on season 5 of the show as a bombshell and had an instant connection with boxer Tommy.

During the show, she too was branded as “fake” by fans and people in the villa, such as Anton Danyluk.

Speaking of his confrontation with her, Anton said: “We just never clicked and she didn’t like it after I put her in her place earlier in the show.”

Molly-Mae and Tommy went on to be runners-up for that season. Anton was dumped alongside ex-Belle Hassan a day before the final.
