Emmerdale Faith's health deteriorates as fans say they 'don't want her to go'

Faith Dingle’s health takes a turn for the worse in Emmerdale next week, as fans say they “don’t want Faith to go” following her terminal cancer diagnosis.

The fan-favourite character was recently told that her cancer had spread, with Faith due to receive palliative treatment in upcoming episodes.

During a special press screening of Marlon and Rhona’s wedding, due to air on August 11, 2022, the episode showed Faith talking to daughter Chas about her upcoming appointments – before her health takes a turn for the worse at the wedding reception.

However, she hides how she is feeling from her friends and asks son Cain for a dance, in a heartbreaking and emotional moment between the two.

Since Faith was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, fans have taken to social media to praise Sally Dexter’s performance – and also share that they do not want to see the character leave the soap.

A second added: “Poor Faith, she’s trying to put on a brave front RE the cancer in front of everyone, but deep down is so heartbroken/scared about leaving her kids and family, but wants to make the most of the time left. #SallyDexter is an amazing actress.”

“Gonna miss her when she goes,” commented a third, while a fourth added: “I’ll rest when I’m dead.’ Going to miss Faith when she’s gone.”

With the news that Faith’s cancer had spread, another fan commented: “I didn’t expect Faith’s cancer to advance this fast,” followed by crying emojis.

“Trying not to cry but it’s hard,” said a sixth.

With Faith actress Sally Dexter confirming in recent interviews that the character will not survive the cancer, next week’s episode seems to indicate that her time in the dales may soon be coming to an end – leaving her family, friends and viewers heartbroken.
